It started out smooth
And my heart was in free fall
When we kissed
It was a soft, warm, sweet bliss
And any imperfection I saw in you
Kept it all feeling new
You held my hand, dear
Whispered things in my ear
You made my orbit shorter, sweetie
With the magic of your eyes’ gravity
But it was too much, and it was too fast, and it was too far, love
And these blurry moments are clearer from above
Now when I see your gorgeous eyes
My soul is left raw from your lies
Your presence is as abrasive
As your stance is aggressive
Asking for kisses and my gentle touch
I gave in to fear, but now it’s become too much

No Dawn Breaking Upon the Horizon
No dawn breaking upon the horizon,
Peaceful dreams I wake from calmly,
I know only one thought: ‘tis done.
Tearless eyes awaken with truth unbidden,
Darkness as a blanket comforts blindly,
No dawn breaking upon the horizon,
Thoughts of lovers overshadowed to one,
With this waiting over, God is mercy,
I know only one thought: ‘tis done.
My acceptance masquerades abrasion,
Harshly, shock then tramples, cold and lonely,
No dawn breaking upon the horizon,
He’s gone, he’s gone, he’s gone, he’s gone, he’s gone-
No! my heart rebels, rejects, oh see-
I know only

Chapter One: Mornings and Migranes
The sleepy, sunrise silence of a small, basic bedroom was broken by half whispers. Fast, panicking breathing accompanied a racing pulse. A single tear slipped- no, there goes another. A body rustled. Sheets twisted. A trapped feeling reinforced. Pleas escaped a pair of lips. Mercy was not granted. The past remained unchanged. The dream- no-memory haunted on. The body thrashed. A strangled yell-

Prologue: Blizzards and Beginings
Despite the freezing, harsh wind, despite the innocent, white snow piling on and around her, despite the cold that invaded her thick coat, she stood in silence. She stared at the flower she had placed over the snowy grave. She had missed the funeral. Alone, she mourned the loss of her childhood friends, but mostly she mourned the loss of her loyal older brother. A single tear slowly trickled down her face, landing at last on the ice encased earth that held his body captive. She looked at the watch on her wrist, realizing she had to leave soon. Staying would be dangerous, especially now that she had no one to watch her back. She gently t
Paws on the ground pounding,
In rhythm with heart pumping,
Spirit too light to touch the earth,
Joy too strong to not spread mirth,
Come lean against my legs and softly pant;
Pin your ears back and listen to every rant.
Lick my face when tears leave stains;
Wag your tail like you feel no pains.
Let your pink tongue loll out tiredly to the side;
Stay close and loyal despite your energy’s tide.
Climb into my lap to make me laugh;
Sniff my face to make sure I’m alright.
Run and run but always come back to me;
Listen and pretend you can see what I see.
Sleep on my feet and by my side.
Roll on your back for a tummy rub

That just three days ago
I was thinking just let go
Leave it all alone, I can’t go on
But now I know
The color of your eyes is so
Stunning; I can’t breathe at all
Just knowing that for you I fall
And did you know
That just three days ago
I could only see behind me
And time kept me stumbling
But now I know
The color of your eyes is so
Stunning; I can’t breathe at all
Just knowing that for you I fall
And did you know
That just three days ago
I found you at last
And my heart beat fast
Oh, now I know
The color of your eyes is so
Stunning; I can’t breathe at all in

I Really Really Like Like You
Humming a different song
Thinkin’ ‘bout just how long
It’s been since I’ve heard your voice
Wish there was a different choice
I need you like the seas need the moon
When I see you my heart stutters to a new tune
My lungs breathe only gasps like the air is thick as dew
I really really like like you
I smile when I think of you
This feeling is just so new
Your name’s on my lips like stain
Taking from my spirit any strain
I need you like the seas need the moon
When I see you my heart stutters to a new tune
My lungs breathe only gasps like the air is thick as dew
I really reall
I remember that look upon your face
And that smile made my heart race
Just a little bit, just a little bit faster
Then you slowly stepped closer
And took me in your arms
Gentle but safely strong
And my mind was empty of all lies
When I looked into your beautiful eyes
And the song started playing
And we started swaying
In the middle of the crowd
And I wasn’t scared at all
Oh, all these couples around us
Were raging with teenaged angst
Looking for more on the dance floor
And if they couldn’t get it there
They would find a little hotel
On the long way back to town
But we held each other close
And then I met your

I'm horrible at drawing or creating any visual art. However, I have loved making music my whole life. I love singing and playing one of my guitars, but my passion is writing music. I started a few years ago with just writing basic forms of lyrics that weren't very good. But now my songwriting has improved and I now write lyrics and guitar parts with melodies and harmonies. The picture is from four years ago, the first time I played guitar and sang on a stage.
